The Truth Behind Food Labels

Many Health Authorities recommend that no more than 30% of our total energy intake should come from FAT. It is not implied nor even recommended that you eat only those foods with less than 30% energy from fat.

As humans we derive energy from 4 different edible sources: Carbohydrates (Carbs), Fats, Protein and Alcohol. Carbs and Fats are the more readily available sources to the body, however each energy source has a different energy density.
